Still Have Your Team’s Last Assessment Report Sitting in a Drawer?

After most assessments wrap up, leaders often ask some version of the same question. “Okay, so what do we actually do differently on Monday?”

MBTI, DiSC, CliftonStrengths, Enneagram, PI, Big Five, and Belbin all have real value. They give people language for personality, motivation, strengths, and team roles. But that particular question, the Monday question, is often the one still sitting there unanswered after the debrief is over.

6 Working Genius answers it faster, because it was built around the work itself, not just the person doing it.

It shows people where they naturally bring energy to their day. Some people light up when they’re questioning, inventing, organizing, or pushing something across the finish line. Others can do those same tasks well, but the work quietly drains them every time.

It shows where frustration is actually coming from. A person struggling on a team isn’t necessarily difficult to work with. They may just be spending most of their day in work that doesn’t fit how they’re wired.

It explains why meetings stall. A team can have plenty of ideas and nobody pushing toward an actual decision. Or the group jumps to execution before enough early thinking has happened to know what they’re executing on.

It explains why good people look checked out. They can be capable and fully committed and still worn down, because their role keeps asking them to operate against their own wiring, week after week.

And it gives leaders a way to change something concrete. Not just understand a person a little better, but talk about the specific meeting, project, or handoff that needs to shift.

That last part is what makes it different from most of the assessments on this list. Most are built to describe who someone is. This one is built to explain how the work is actually getting done, and where it’s getting stuck.

That’s a strong fit for teams that feel talented but stuck, capable but drained, or caught having the same conversation for the third week in a row. Your team probably doesn’t need another personality report to file away. They need language they can use in tomorrow’s meeting.

That’s the difference between an assessment you take once and one you actually use. The 6 Working Genius assessment gives you the language. The workshop with Ann Hunter at Designing Grace Leadership Development helps you put it to work.
