At the heart of the business is the memory of my grandmother, Grace, whose strength, creativity, and elegance left an indelible mark. Her resilience and authenticity inspired me to create a company that reflects her values and helps others unlock their potential. Honoring a Legacy of Strength and Purpose
My Grandma Grace is the inspiration behind Designing GRACE. My grandma died when I was eight years old, but her legacy lived on through the stories that my mom told me about this powerful woman. Throughout my life, I have always been compared to this woman who protected her family with ferocity, was an excellent cook, and dressed as she had just stepped out of a magazine. She was funny, creative, strong, and commanded respect. It always felt like the comparison was unfair because those were big shoes to fill. When I decided to launch Designing GRACE, the logo had to be that of my grandma drawing me because her influence helped shape me. Through my life experiences, I am filled with GRACE: Grit, Resilience, Authenticity, Confidence, and Excellence.

The story of my grandma describes why I started Designing Grace. It is my belief system that keeps me going.
I believe in leadership at every level. I believe that when you challenge your beliefs you give yourself options for growth that you didn’t have previously. Growth comes in knowledge, mindset and skills.
I believe in ending divisiveness in the world and want to enlist others in this effort. As you develop your leadership skills you can help guide discussions that result in understanding another person’s perspective without feeling forced to agree with them. Allowing others to feel valued and heard, regardless of their perspective, is a huge step forward in ending divisiveness.
At Designing Grace, we develop authentic leadership skills, and foster a growth mindset. You don’t have to be the leader of the group to be a leader within the group.
